DUNCAN MCLAUGHLIN
JUNIOR SKILLS COACH
Duncan joins OLR as a junior trainer. He is from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and a graduate of King’s-Edgehill School.
He has obtained an Associates degree in Kinesiology from Panola College. Duncan was a member of the 17U Baseball Nova Scotia selects program and led the team to a Baseball Nova Scotia “Major Team of the Year” in 2019, as they won the Canada Cup that year. Duncan pitched in the Gold medal game of the 2019 Canada Cup, and he came away with the win. Not only did Duncan and his team win Team of the Year, he also came home with the Baseball Nova Scotia “Major Male Athlete of the Year” in 2019.
He has 2 years of college baseball experience at the D1 Junior College level, where he went to school in Texas and in Iowa. Duncan is a multisport athlete who also competes in track & field. He was a member of the 2022 Nova Scotia Canada Games Team, and placed 4th in Discus at the 2022 Canada Games.
Duncan is a current member of the Dartmouth OLR Renegades. The team were silver medalists at the 2022 22U Nationals held in Dartmouth this past summer. Duncan is excited to join the 2022-2023 OLR offseason training team!
