VICTORIA ARDIEL

JUNIOR FASTPITCH INTRUCTOR

Victoria Ardiel is a former pitchr from Okotoks, Alberta. She is a four-time provincial gold medalist, two-time Western Canadian bronze medalist, and a Canadian bronze medalist with Team Nova Scotia at U21 Nationals. In 2015, Victoria earned a scholarship from Williston State College in North Dakota, but unfortunately her athletic career was cut short due to a back injury. Being injured didn’t fully take her away from the sport though, as she jumped right into coaching. Victoria is now entering her 8th year of coaching and she coaches for Calgary Kaizen, developing athletes in the same organization she grew up playing for.

Victoria graduated from Acadia University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology with Psychology where she was on the Dean’s List twice, and a University Scholar her final year. She has since returned to Acadia and is currently completing a Masters of Applied Kinesiology in the Coaching Stream. Along with having a passion for coaching, Victoria also has a large interest in gender equity in sport, ethical issues in sport, and sport psychology.

Victoria is eager to apply her past knowledge and current studies to her coaching at OLR, while being a positive female role model to youth fastpitch athletes in the province of Nova Scotia.
